The Selma to Montgomery National Mobilization for Voting Rights & Democracy emerges in response to the escalating attacks on civil rights, voting rights, Black political power, public institutions, and democratic participation in the aftermath of Louisiana v. Callais and the broader wave of anti-democratic actions sweeping the country.

This mobilization honors the unfinished work of the Civil Rights Movement while calling people across the country into sustained civic engagement, movement-building, voter participation, and collective action to defend democracy and protect hard-fought freedoms.
